Manager Dive Programmes

I am an active SSI Instructor Certifier and my passion for diving is as great today as it was over two decades ago when as backpacker I completed an open water diver course in the Bay Islands – Honduras.

I am very well-travelled and on a personal level this has had a major influence on my attitude to life. I acknowledge how privileged we are to be surrounded by the natural beauty, flora and fauna  and the unique culture which makes Aotearoa our home.

I am a firm believer that our programmes can be the positive influence which nourishes individuals to achieve their personal goals and aspirations.

My goal, is to make a difference no matter how small it is for our community. I also enjoy a diverse range of outdoor activities, “basically if it’s outside, fun and a rush I’m Keen”.

Auckland Senior Tutor

My name is Murray Hill and my role here is Senior Tutor. I have been diving for over 20 years and have been an Instructor for over 10 years. I have worked in Europe, The Pacific Islands and of course many years in New Zealand.

The sea holds a special place with me and I always feel most comfortable in, on or around it. My favourite types of diving are Wreck Diving and Deep Diving and I also love fishing.

I think its awesome for me to be able to teach others about diving and the underwater environment, and to pass on my knowledge through experiences I’ve enjoyed over the years.

In particular I like that I get to teach the same tertiary courses I completed that started my career in diving over 10 years ago.
